General Terms of Use 

Paris International Shoulder Course 

Article 1 – Preamble Oxygene Expo, a French simplified joint-stock company (Société par Actions Simplifiée – SAS) with share capital of EUR 10,000, whose registered office is located at 229 rue Saint-Honoré – 75001 Paris, France, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 794 253 443 (hereinafter the “Organizer”), organizes the Paris International Shoulder Course (hereinafter the “PISC” or the “Event”). The website dedicated to the Event, available at www.paris-shoulder-course.com or any other domain name used by the Organizer for the Event (hereinafter the “Site”), provides access to content, information and services related to the Event. The Paris International Shoulder Course is an international medical congress dedicated to shoulder arthroplasty and related scientific and educational content, including conferences, scientific sessions, live surgeries, workshops, industry exhibition areas, sponsor activities and networking opportunities. 

Article 2 – Purpose The purpose of these General Terms of Use (hereinafter the “GTU”) is to define the terms and conditions governing access to and use of the Site and the services offered through it (hereinafter the “Services”). The GTU are accessible at any time via a dedicated link at the bottom of the Site page. 

 Article 3 – Access to the Site 3.1 Access The Site is accessible free of charge to any internet user (hereinafter the “Users” or “You”), subject to internet access costs and any costs related to the equipment or connection used by the User. 3.2 Legal capacity The User declares that they have the necessary legal capacity to accept these GTU. Failing this, access to and use of the Services must be carried out under the responsibility of a legal representative. 

 Article 4 – Acceptance of the GTU Any use of the Site implies full and complete acceptance of these GTU. Where access to certain Services requires registration, acceptance of the GTU may be materialized by ticking a checkbox or by any other equivalent technical process. The Organizer reserves the right to modify the GTU at any time. Any substantial modification may be notified to Users at least fifteen (15) days before it comes into effect, where applicable. The applicable version of the GTU is the version available online on the date of use of the Site. 

Article 5 – Description of Services The Site may provide access to the following Services, depending on the features made available by the Organizer. 5.1 Services accessible without registration Users may access, without prior registration: General information about the Event; The scientific programme and practical information; Information relating to speakers, faculty members, sponsors, exhibitors and partners; News, updates and informative content related to the Event; Multimedia content, where available; Contact forms and information request forms. 5.2 Services accessible after registration Subject to registration and/or creation of a personal account, Users may access Services such as: Registration for the Event, conferences, workshops, live surgeries, scientific sessions or other related activities; Access to personalized registration information; Management or update of personal information; Downloading registration confirmations, invoices, badges, certificates or practical documents; Access to reserved content, where applicable; Receiving communications relating to the Event, including newsletters, practical information and programme updates; Interaction with participants, faculty members, sponsors or exhibitors, depending on the features available on the Site. The list of Services is indicative and may be modified by the Organizer at any time according to the organization and needs of the Event. 

Article 6 – Registration 6.1 Account creation Certain Services require the creation of a personal account (hereinafter the “User Account”). The User agrees to provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information when creating their User Account and when using the Services. Personal data collected through the Site is processed in accordance with applicable data protection regulations. The Privacy Policy is available on the Site. 6.2 Credentials Login credentials are strictly personal and confidential. The User is solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their credentials and for all use made of their User Account. Any access to the User Account using the User’s credentials shall be deemed to have been made by the User. The User agrees to inform the Organizer as soon as possible in the event of unauthorized use, loss, theft or disclosure of their credentials. 6.3 Unsubscription and account deletion The User may at any time: Unsubscribe from Event communications by using the unsubscribe link included in the relevant communications, where applicable; Request the deletion of their User Account, subject to any legal or contractual obligations requiring the Organizer to retain certain information. 

Article 7 – Intellectual Property All content available on the Site, including but not limited to texts, images, photographs, logos, trademarks, videos, graphics, icons, documents, programme content and downloadable materials, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Unless expressly authorized in advance by the Organizer, any reproduction, representation, distribution, extraction, reuse, adaptation, modification or exploitation, in whole or in part, of the Site or any of its content is strictly prohibited. The names Paris International Shoulder Course, PISC, and any associated logos or visual identities may be protected and may not be used without the prior written authorization of the Organizer. 

Article 8 – Use of the Services The User agrees to use the Site and Services in accordance with these GTU, applicable laws and regulations, and accepted standards of behavior. In particular, the User agrees to: Use the Site and Services for lawful purposes only; Provide accurate and up-to-date information; Respect the rights of the Organizer and third parties; Adopt respectful and professional behavior, particularly when interacting with other participants, faculty members, sponsors, exhibitors, partners or the Organizer; Refrain from disrupting the proper functioning of the Site or Services. The User is solely responsible for their use of the Services and for any information they provide through the Site. 

Article 9 – Confidentiality Certain information exchanged or made available as part of the Services, including scientific, educational, organizational, sponsor-related or partner-related information, may be confidential. The User agrees not to disclose, reproduce, distribute or use confidential information for any purpose other than their participation in or interaction with the Event. This confidentiality obligation applies throughout the period of use of the Services and for three (3) years thereafter. 

Article 10 – Prohibited Behaviors Users are strictly prohibited from: Using the Site or Services for illegal, fraudulent or unauthorized purposes; Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its systems, accounts or data; Damaging, overloading, disrupting or impairing the proper functioning or security of the Site; Sending unsolicited messages, spam or unauthorized commercial communications; Extracting, collecting or reusing data from the Site, including by scraping, crawling or automated means; Reselling, transferring or making available access to the Services without the prior written authorization of the Organizer; Uploading, transmitting or distributing content that is unlawful, defamatory, offensive, discriminatory, misleading or infringing third-party rights; Using the Site in a manner that may harm the reputation, image or interests of the Organizer, the Event, speakers, faculty members, sponsors, exhibitors, partners or participants. 

Article 11 – Sanctions In the event of a breach of these GTU, the Organizer reserves the right, without prejudice to any other rights or remedies, to: Suspend, restrict or delete access to all or part of the Services; Delete or deactivate the User Account concerned; Remove any unlawful or inappropriate content, where applicable; Take any legal action deemed necessary; Inform the competent authorities, where required or appropriate. 

Article 12 – Liability The Organizer is subject to an obligation of means in relation to the operation and accessibility of the Site and Services. The Organizer makes reasonable efforts to ensure that the information published on the Site is accurate and up to date. However, the Organizer does not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free or permanently available. The Organizer may not be held liable for: Temporary interruptions, technical failures, maintenance operations or malfunctions affecting the Site; Errors, omissions or inaccuracies in content provided by third parties, including speakers, faculty members, sponsors, exhibitors or partners; Changes to the programme, speakers, sessions, workshops, live surgeries, sponsor activities or practical arrangements of the Event; Indirect, consequential or immaterial damages resulting from the use of the Site or Services; Damage resulting from the User’s equipment, internet connection, browser configuration or misuse of the Services. The Organizer reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue all or part of the Site or Services at any time, particularly for technical, organizational or legal reasons. 

Article 13 – Image Rights and Use of Event Recordings By attending, registering for, or participating in the Paris International Shoulder Course, the User acknowledges that photographs, videos, audio recordings or other audiovisual content may be captured during the Event, including during conferences, workshops, exhibition areas, networking sessions, interviews and other official activities. The User authorizes the Organizer, free of charge, to use, reproduce, publish and distribute their image, voice and/or likeness as captured during the Event, for communication, promotional, archival and informational purposes relating to the Event and to the Organizer’s activities. Such content may be used on the Event website, social media accounts, newsletters, brochures, press releases, post-event reports, promotional materials and other digital or printed communication media, in France and abroad. This authorization is granted for a period of five (5) years from the date of the Event, unless the User objects in writing to the Organizer under legitimate grounds. The Organizer undertakes not to use any image, recording or content in a manner that could harm the dignity, reputation or privacy of the User. Users who do not wish to appear in photographs, videos or recordings are invited to inform the Organizer before or during the Event, so that reasonable measures can be taken where possible. 

Article 14 – External Links The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including websites of sponsors, exhibitors, partners, scientific societies, service providers or social media platforms. The Organizer has no control over these third-party websites and cannot be held responsible for their content, availability, operation, privacy practices or terms of use. Access to third-party websites is made under the sole responsibility of the User. 

 Article 15 – Modification of the GTU The Organizer reserves the right to modify these GTU at any time, in particular to reflect changes to the Site, the Services, the Event organization, applicable regulations or technical constraints. Continued use of the Site after the publication of updated GTU constitutes acceptance of the modified GTU. Users are therefore invited to consult the GTU regularly. 

 Article 16 – Applicable Law and Jurisdiction These GTU are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute relating to the interpretation, validity or performance of these GTU, the parties shall seek an amicable resolution before initiating any legal proceedings. Failing an amicable resolution, any dispute shall fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Paris, France, unless otherwise provided by mandatory legal provisions.
